Weekend in review.....
/Even though our weekends look so different now than 6 months ago {eek, how has it been almost 6 months since our little Redd joined us?!} I love the extra time we get to spend together as a little family---even if it has consisted mostly of packing & moving and sitting by P as he studies ;)
This past weekend both P and I had conferences for work/school. He headed to Orlando for the annual periodontist conference and I went to Dallas for The Platinum Edge.
Since our conferences overlapped Nana {my mom} came to Texas to hang out with Redd! He loved getting to snuggle and drool on his nana in person instead of just smile and giggle at her on FaceTime.

We love ourself some HGTV and Fixer Upper is at the top of our list! Checking out Magnolia Market in Waco has been high on my Texas bucket list---and getting to go with my mama made it even better :) Can't wait to get our place all unpacked and decorated so I can show you what I bought!!

Grateful for my fun shopping buddies
Leaving baby guy during the day isn't something I have done very often--I missed his slobbery kisses but loved knowing that he was making mems with his nana. The little skunk won't take a bottle {at about 8 weeks we transitioned to exclusively breast feeding and he hasn't looked back since ;)} so he drank milks like a big kid out of a cup and came to visit his mama during my breaks. I think he was pretty happy to see me...or at least that he was back with his milks source ;)
Not sure if he is more excited to see me or drink some mama milks ;)
As part of my conference I got to workout with Chalene Johnson---the creator of PiYo. It was AWESOME! Early {like 5:45 am!} but awesome!
Just a little star struck getting to workout LIVE with Chalene and only a few rows back from the stage!!
Repping our 2* coaching tanks--Beachbody sends you swag when you reach different goals. Who doesn't love a free shirt?!
On our way home Sunday night we stopped in Austin to visit Aunt Kaeli and get Mod Pizza--my favorite pizza restaurant from Portland just opened a new restaurant across the street from my bestie in Austin. Which was the BEST.NEWS.EVER. until I got some serious food poisoning :'( Like WOAH! I might not ever eat pizza again!
Thank goodness nana was still here and kept us both alive! I am not sure we would have made it just Redd and I! {ps: if you are looking for a quick, light, happy, chick flick ish read I loved Trouble in Paradise! I might have read the whole thing in half a day :)}
All ready to spend the day in bed waiting for daddy to get home!
The weekends always seem to go SO fast--especially those that include visits from family! 24 days until we go to Utah for Christmas...but who's counting?! ;)
This coming weekend we are getting family pictures taken for our Christmas card---send some smiley baby dust our way!! What are you looking forward to this weekend?!
xo,
Alyssa
