Health goals and the holidays

Do you have a fav restaurant that you LOVE to go to when you are traveling?! I have a few {I kinda LOVE food haha} but Zuppas has been a fav of mine every time I'm home in Utah. I was pumped we got take out from there today. Love eating healthy food I don't have to make πŸ˜‰

When I started my new 60 day fitness and nutrition program the beginning of the month I was a little worried about how being home for the holidays would go. Out of my routine, lots of tasty food around and holiday treats a plenty.

I am all about celebrating and enjoying treats--life is too short to NEVER eat treats! BUT I didn't want the mindless eating or eating of sweets that aren't really "worth it" to take over. I know that when I over eat I feel bloated, have less energy and get indigestion 😝

So far my goal of celebrating the holiDAY instead of a holiWEEK or holiMONTH is going well! I've gotten all my workouts in πŸ’ͺ and instead of helping myself to a huge portion of fudge from the neighbor I had a delicious but very small sliver followed by a LarabarπŸ‘Š I got to taste the deliciousness but didn't over do it!

Grateful for my fitfam support group for helping me remember to stay on track πŸ‘πŸ‘

This lil teething workout buddy of mine loves his baby friend in the mirror almost as much as I love him ;) This was a day when not working out would have been SO much easier than making the time to get my sweat on BUT even though my 45 min workout …

This lil teething workout buddy of mine loves his baby friend in the mirror almost as much as I love him ;) This was a day when not working out would have been SO much easier than making the time to get my sweat on BUT even though my 45 min workout took over 2 hours with baby breaks it was SO worth it!! Sticking to my goals and taking time for me makes me a happier, healthier and better mama!

Merry almost Christmas!! I hope you have a wonderful holiWEEK celebrating with those you love :)

xo,
